‘green” does not mean doing without. In
creating Nusta Spa, we used non-toxic, rapidly renewable
and recycled materials manufactured in an environmentally
friendly way. The result is high-performance green design
and a healthier environment for Nusta’s guests
and employees.
Nusta Spa's commitment to environmental
sustainability does not stop with the design of the
space; impact on the environment has been an important
factor in every decision we've made. From the choice
of product lines and packaging to the paper and ink
used for printed materials, an all-encompassing approach
to eco-friendliness is a top priority at Nusta Spa.
Nusta Spa is the first spa in the world to be accepted into the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Pilot Program for Commercial Interiors. With this acceptance into the pilot program, Nusta Spa is the first and only Washington D.C. project and the first spa ever to achieve the Gold level of certification under any of the USGBC's LEED rating systems.
